Builders Club to sell "Bells for Life" to benefit
Albany Med's Children's Hospital
(Dec. 1, 2011) Voorheesville Middle School Builders Club members will be
selling "Bells for Life" to benefit the families of children in the
pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at the Children’s Hospital at
Albany Medical Center.
Paper bells are being sold for $1 at school Dec. 7-9
during lunch period 5 and will be displayed outside of the cafeteria.
Builders Club members will also be at Crossgates Mall on Sunday, Dec. 11
by the old Macy’s on the second floor above the Santa Winter Wonderland.
Remember, ONLY students with transportation and signed permission slips
will be allowed to participate.
The Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center is
a 125-bed facility devoted exclusively to the medical needs of infants,
children and adolescents. It is the referral center for all seriously
ill or injured children from 25 counties in upstate New York and western
New England.
In addition to Bells for Life, pull tabs for Ronald
McDonald House are being collected until the end of May. Collection
containers are located in the MS office. The grade that collects the
most tabs will earn an ice cream social from Builders Club at the end of
the school year.
