Grammy winning New York Voices to perform concert in Voorheesville, Feb. 3

(Dec. 15, 2011) The Voorheesville Friends of Music is pleased to present the Grammy Award winning group New York Voices, who will be performing a concert right here in Voorheesville on Friday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lydia C. Tobler Performing Arts Center!

New York Voices is a vocal quartet who specializes in singing four-part vocal jazz music. The group has performed together for over 20 years, and has performed all over the world at such notable places as Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall. In addition to their extensive performing career, the group is also committed to music education and presents workshops for high school and college students. As part of their visit to Voorheesville, the group will be working with the High School Chorus presenting a workshop during the school day and working on a piece that chorus students will perform with the New York Voices that evening.

This is a unique opportunity to see an internationally acclaimed group in your own backyard. Tickets for the evening concert are $25.00 and are on sale now.
