VCSD launches Parent Portal at the high school
 

(December 2011) Parents of Clayton A. Bouton High School students now have the ability to access their child's report card, progress reports, assignment grades and more through a web-based application called Parent Portal. Parents who were unable to attend the Dec. 6 and 7 information nights can sign up for Parent Portal access on Jan. 9 (4-6:30 p.m.) and Jan. 13 (4-6 p.m.) Unlike previous information nights, these sessions will not include a presentation about Parent Portal. Please be sure to bring photo identification with you to activate your student's account.

The district is currently piloting the program at the high school, but expects to make it available for all students grades 7-12 in the future.

"The online grade book will give parents and students up-to-date information for all classes," said Clayton A. Bouton High School Principal Imran Abbasi. "We hope that as we move forward with this technology we can provide a better means of communication between school and home and provide students with more ownership of their work."
